Music trends come and go, leaving only what’s truly great to thrive. Los Angeles based singer/songwriter/producer Ryan Kirwan’s signature blend of Americana, Roots rock and classic R&B sounds carry an air of timelessness and legitimacy—a surefire recipe to standing out from the pack in such a cluttered scene.
Ryan cut his teeth playing lead guitar and writing songs as a teenager with Los Angeles area rock bands. His undeniable skills caught the attention of none other than Grammy Award Winning/Rock And Roll Hall Fame songwriter Leon Russell, who hired Ryan on as sideman guitar accompaniment from 1994 through 1999 in Nashville, TN.
Upon returning to the Los Angeles scene, Ryan joined as a member of Hip Hop collective Downative, built a home studio (Head Start Studio) with Producer Engineer Mike Batista, does session work for Media Hyperium Studios, and released his solo debut LP ‘10th Street Breakdown’ (produced by Mike Batista with additional production and mixing done by Ted White at Intonato Studio, Manhattan Beach, CA.)
Despite this impressive list of accomplishments, Ryan has no desire to slow down in 2015: He’s just released a new single, ‘ I Couldn’t Have Known,’ (produced by Batista/White) which is now available on iTunes! Ryan is also co-writing and playing on a brand new pop-rock side project - details coming soon!
Thanks for stopping by and hope you enjoy the tunes! Much more to come!
